What Good Will It Do Them?
As anyone who has read this blog lately would know, there have been protests against prop-8 outside of Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and some of the protesters have not been to peaceful. Let me first clarify this one thing before I go on. I don't care if they protest, let them. They have that right as U.S. Citizens, but I don't agree with blocking people from their house of worship, and beating them. What did the church do to them. Al the church did was join a coalition of churches that supported prop-8, and all the money put into this, was donations by the church members for the plane tickets. Other then that, the church did nothing that I know about. So why are they targeting the church, beating people who want to worship, posting signs on temple fences, wanting to tax us, threatening to burn the temples, and threatening to kill our prophet? Of all the churches that joined, we alone are being attacked. What are they possibly going to get from this? It wont change the outcome of Prop-8. If they are looking for political reform, they're got Obama in the presidency. That's want they wanted, isn't it? So why are they doing this? I personally think that they are angry because Prop-8 passed, and they wanted someone to take it out on. So why take it out on us? I have another theory for that. I believe that Satan is putting it in their hearts to attack us, because the other churches don't pose a threat to him.

My Beliefs: Gay Rights
Today, pro-gay protesters in front of the temple in L.A. and are now planing one on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. They are pushing for gay rights, rights that they already have. They can have hospital visits and all of those things. Why are they doing all of these protests and threatening the church because of it.

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!!!
Supporters of same-sex marriage are aiming their wrath at the Mormon church, which raised $20 million of the overall $75 million that was spent to promote the California initiative.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also encouraged its members to volunteer their time for the campaign.
A group of protestors plans to rally Friday in front of the headquarters of the Mormon church in Salt Lake City. Protestors demonstrated Thursday outside a Mormon temple in Los Angeles. About 1,000 gay-marriage supporters waved signs and brought afternoon trafficto a halt.

Church News Room
Allegations of bigotry or persecution made against the Church were and are simply wrong. The Church’s opposition to same-sex marriage neither constitutes nor condones any kind of hostility toward gays and lesbians. Even more, the Church does not object to rights for same-sex couples regarding hospitalization and medical care, fair housing and employment rights, or probate rights, so long as these do not infringe on the integrity of the traditional family or the constitutional rights of churches.
Some, however, have mistakenly asserted that churches should not ever be involved in politics when moral issues are involved. In fact, churches and religious organizations are well within their constitutional rights to speak out and be engaged in the many moral and ethical problems facing society. While the Church does not endorse candidates or platforms, it does reserve the right to speak out on important issues.

What Has Our World Come To??!!
I got these off of my mom's blog. Here are the clips that I thought were the most importent. For the whole thing, read "Can Anyone Explain This To Me?" on my mom's blog at http://www.frisbiesrus.blogspot.com
Gay marriage activists in California refuse to accept the passage of Prop. 8, the traditional marriage initiative.
They’ve marched in Los Angeles. They’re targeting the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City. And they’re threatening to burn down churches and hunt down people of faith who supported the ballot measure:
Decisions by voters in Florida, Arizona and California to join residents of 27 other states with constitutional protections for traditional marriage have prompted threats of violence against Christians and their churches.
“Burn their f—ing churches to the ground, and then tax the charred timbers,” wrote “World O Jeff” on the JoeMyGod blogspot today within hours of California officials declaring Proposition 8 had been approved by a margin of 52 percent to 48 percent. Confirmation on voter approval of amendments in Florida and Arizona came earlier.
The demonstration began outside the L.A. Mormon temple where marchers protested the church's support of Prop. 8. The measure won 52 percent support Tuesday for its definition of marriage as a heterosexual union.
LOS ANGELES -- More than 2,000 people protesting California's new ban on same-sex marriage marched through Westside Los Angeles streets Thursday, snarling afternoon rush-hour traffic as hundreds of police officers monitored the situation.
Two people were arrested after a confrontation between the crowd and an occupant of a pickup truck that had a banner supporting Proposition 8, the ballot measure that banned same-sex marriage. Seven arrests occurred during Los Angeles-area street marches late Wednesday.
Some spectators cheered from apartment balconies; one person threw eggs at the marchers.
The demonstration began at a Mormon temple complex in Westwood where marchers protested the church's support of Proposition 8, which won 52 percent support Tuesday for its definition of marriage as a heterosexual union. Same-sex marriage had only been allowed in California for a matter of months since a state Supreme Court decision earlier this year.
Organizers said another protest is planned for this weekend in Silver Lake's Sunset Junction area.
Thursday's march initially focused on the Mormon temple because same-sex rights advocates claim the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints spent millions to air deceptive advertisements in support of Proposition 8, and the church should lose its tax-exempt status.
"No one's religious beliefs should be used to deny fundamental rights to others," said Lorri L. Jean, chief executive officer of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. "Our civil rights are inalienable.
The California Supreme Court recently ruled that same-sex marriage was legal in California. Recognizing the importance of marriage to society, the Church accepted an invitation to participate in ProtectMarriage, a coalition of churches, organizations, and individuals sponsoring a November ballot measure, Proposition 8, that would amend the California state constitution to ensure that only a marriage between a man and a woman would be legally recognized. (Information about the coalition can be found at http://www.protectmarriage.com/).

My Political Beliefs - Prop 8
If you have not already noticed, I have added a widgit about Prop 8. Most of what I would want to say is on the movie with it, but I also want to add that any church in America that does not add same-sex marriage into their doctrine, they will be taxed harder, plus they can be sued by the government for it. My church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more commonly known as the Mormons, do not believe in same-sex marriage, and if we do not allow same-sex marriage in the temples, we will be sued! I have faith that our church will not cave into liberal muck. We will not allow same-sex marriage. If Prop 8 falls, then it will take away our freedom of religion.

My Political Beliefs - Blocking Anti-Liberal Internet Sites
Many internet sites that anti-liberal sites seem to be having trouble, but none of the liberal sites, nor does it happen to any Obama sites. That seems a bit fishy to me. My mom and I were watching a video that she had received in an e-mail about yes to Prop 8 and about a couple in Mass. that their five year-old was given a book about same-sex marriage. When they saw this, they asked the school if they could be notified about this before hand, and if they could have the option to have their son sit out during these activities. That was as far as we got, about half way through it, when the movie stopped. So mom found it at a different site, that had nothing to do with were this e-mail came from. We started watching it, and it stopped again in the same place as the first. It seems to me that someone is jamming these things, just like the Nazis did with the BBC. There is something in these videos and sites that the liberals don't want us to know. They are trying everything that they can to keep the American people blinded form the truth, but WE WILL NOT ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN!!! We must stand up on our feet and say that this is wrong, and we will not have it!

My Political Beliefs: The Modern American Gestapo
I do tend to have some strong political beliefs, but this election, I have had seen so much that is corrupt that I am starting to worry about our future as a nation. I have decided that I will not just sit around and whine about what is happening, I will spread the world and let others know.

Story Clips
“Wait Ben!” Samantha cried. “That wasn’t Tim talking to himself. It’s him talking to something under the couch.”
“Sam, I have no clue what you are talking about,” Tim covered.
“Don’t you Sam me. I know that there’s something under there!” She started to crawl toward Tim. She peered under with Tim helplessly watching. “What is this then?” She had Jane in her hand.
“It’s a fairy!” Sally cried out.

The Beginning
Here is the beginning of my book. Enjoy.
It was a dark night and Tim woke up with a start. As he looked around his eyes adjusted and he saw his three best friends, Ben, Sally, and Samantha. The menu to the movie they had been watching was on and popcorn was strewn all over the floor and furniture, remnants of that night’s popcorn fight.
Tim lifted himself off of the couch and looked around for the remote. He saw it sticking out from under the couch. He reached down to grab it and stopped. There was a glowing, yellow light under the couch. He peered under and gasped. What he saw was a little, glowing woman. ...
You'll have to wait until I get the whole thing completed or bug me enough that I continue to post snip its of it.

It's Official!!!!
The band that me and some friends have been trying to start is now one step closer. We have a name!!!!! We decided to name it Stand Up. I know it sounds like an odd name for a band, but we have a great story as to the name. I give you the shortened, condensed version. There once was an atheist professor at a university and would spend the whole semester trying to prove why God couldn't exist. At the end he would stand up and asked that any one who still believed in God to stand up. No one did because if they did the professor would call them a fool and say that if God existed he could keep a piece of caulk from breaking if it hit the ground. He would drop it and it would break. One man prayed the whole semester that he would have the strength to stand up. When the Professor asked who still believed in God, the man stood up. He was ridiculed by the professor and he went to drop the caulk, but when he did it slipped out of his fingers, hit his pants, rolled off of his shoe, onto the ground in one, perfect piece. We decided that we wanted to stand up for what we believe in and that it doesn't matter what others think of us, only what God thinks of us.
By the way. We are going to make a band blog and all of our info will go on there. Thank You.

Random Thoughts
I sometimes have some random thoughts and like to share them with anyone who will listen. I was thinking last night about how people are trying to separate God from the U.S. but God is what the U.S. is all about. Almost all of our patriotic songs reference Him. Our national anthem references Him no less then three times. Only in the last verse, but it's sill there. Our money says "In God We Trust", the pilgrims came here to worship God freely. Why then are we trying to drive Him out. How can we drive him out? If you take God out of America, you don't have America, I don't know what it is, but it's not America.

Good News!!!
As soon as our band agrees on a name, we are going to start a different blog for it. That way, all of the lyrics and that kind of stuff can go on there and I can post more of what is going on in my life, beside band.

Independence
Verse 1
Today’s the day
Of Independence
Fireworks and barbecues
Running and playing
And red, white, and blue
But do we remember
What’s it’s all about
Chorus
Independence
Freedom from Britain
It’s the date of our great country’s birth
Remember all the men
Who risked their lives
For her
It’s the birth of our sweet
America
Verse 2
The Declaration was signed
We were free
But Britain
Did not agree
We fought for many years
To stay that way
Now we’re here
And we’re still free
Chorus
Independence
Freedom from Britain
It’s the date of our great country’s birth
Remember all the men
Who risked their lives
For her
It’s the birth of our sweet
America
Verse 3
And as you watch
The fireworks
And eat your hot dog
As you fly
Your red, white, and blue
Just remember
Why
Chorus
Independence
Freedom from Britain
It’s the date of our great country’s birth
Remember all the men
Who risked their lives
For her
It’s the birth of our sweet
America
We are free
We are free
So don’t forget
Why we’re free

The Higher You Climb
Verse 1
Hello there
You wayward one
You might want to come down
Off of your ladder of sin
Now let me tell you why
Now just let me tell you why
Chorus
The higher you climb
The further you fall
Yes, the higher up you climb, climb, oh climb
The further down you fall
Verse 2
You got to be careful
When you get up that high
‘Cause the higher you climb
The further you fall
So don’t get to far out of hand
Just be careful what you do
‘Cause the higher you climb
The further you fall
Chorus
The higher you climb
The further you fall
Yes, the higher up you climb, climb, oh climb
The further down you fall
Verse 3
Just keep your feet down on the ground
That’s what’s really best for you
‘Cause the further you climb
The further you fall
The higher up you climb, Yeah
The further down you fall, You fall
You’ve climbed up pretty far, Pretty far
You’re gonna fall real hard, Really hard

Stand Up
Verse 1
Stand up
Oh, yes stand up
The chalk may fall
But that don’t mean a thing
Stand up
Oh, stand up
Stand up
For what you believe in
Chorus
Stand on up for what you believe in
Don’t let other’s blindness affect you
You can be the one out of a crowd
The rose in a field of weeds
So stand on up and be proud
Verse 2
If you believe in Christ
Then stand on up
Be called a fool
By fools alone
The chalk may fall
And it my break
But that won’t change
Your faith
Chorus
Stand on up for what you believe in
Don’t let other’s blindness affect you
You can be the one out of a crowd
The rose in a field of weeds
So stand on up and be proud
Chorus
Stand on up for what you believe in
Don’t let other’s blindness affect you
You can be the one out of a crowd
The rose in a field of weeds
So stand on up and be proud
Verse 3
They say there is no proof
That He’s there
But I can’t see
How they don’t see Him
Just open your eyes
And He’s there
Chorus
Stand on up for what you believe in
Don’t let other’s blindness affect you
You can be the one out of a crowd
The rose in a field of weeds
So stand on up and be proud
Verse 4
You can see the trees
And you see the sky
You can hear the birds
And you feel the wind
There’s all this proof
Yet they still deny
But that don’t matter
Just let them be
That naive
Chorus
Stand on up for what you believe in
Don’t let other’s blindness affect you
You can be the one out of a crowd
The rose in a field of weeds
So stand on up and be proud
(Repeat chorus to a fade)
