We had a talent show at a stake youth activity and Miss Smiley had made a skirt. She wanted someone to model it on stage, and so I suggested my friend. All of us talked him into it, but he complained about cruel and unusual punishment the whole time.

Marching Band News
We got our new marching band music for next year. We are going to be playing tunes form Danny Elfman. He wrote the music to Spider-man, Tales from the Crypt, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Bettle Jucie. It is a challenging show.

Saturday is the Youth Dance/Talent Show. I've been asked to model a hand-nitted tie. I hope that I get t he red one, but it seems as if it will be the black one for me.

My New Book
I'm now reading The Key to My Neighbor's House : Seeking Justice in Bosnia and Rwanda. It is an interesting book. I will get a picture as soon as I can.

First Church Dance
This was a while ago, but I just found this picture. Mom couldn't let me go to my first dance without having a dance with her. And Dad couldn't help but snap a picture of it.

Combo News
We had our first combo proformance the other day. It was pretty cool. We played seven songs: Blues in the Closet, Blue Monk, Bagg's Grove, Tea for Two, How High the Moon, Mack the Knife, and (My favorite), Say What! We have a little joke about Tea For Two. During on of our rehersales, our band teacher told us we were going to play Tea for Two, but my friend thought he said Tea for Two Tacos. I do not know where he got the word tacos, atually, he doesn't either. Last night we played Blues in the Closet at the Jazz Band Consert. We met and decided that we all like the combo and going to continue.
